Gifty-gyan


The case which has been in court for the last three years sparked a conversation due to the fame of the former Sunderland and Al Ain player who is Africa’s leading scorer at a FIFA World Cup tournament.


Asamoah Gyan was ordered by the court to provide his ex-wife Gifty Gyan 25,000 Ghana Cedis (GHc25,000) every month to support and care for their three children.


This number does not include additional expenditures associated with raising children, such as the three children's school tuition, travel-related airline tickets, and medical and dental care charges.



Gifty has also received Asamoah Gyan's UK residence in addition to a second four-bedroom property in Ghana.

A BMW owned by the Black Stars was given to Gifty, along with one of Asamoah Gyan's enterprises, a petrol station in Prampram, which belonged to his former partner.




When the facts of the divorce settlement were made public, Asamoah Gyan responded.


Gyan, who has over a million followers on his X (formerly Twitter) profile, responded to a post on Ameyaw Debrah by writing:


It's okay if I receive 10 points and remain silent since I'm a mature person, and if you receive 2 points and seek public support. You're a real comedian. This is profound, so consider it.
