Ghanaian singer and actor Agya Koo is well-known. In addition, he owns a business, directs films, and runs for office. Agya is the CEO of Tete Mmofra Film and Singing Production, which she founded in Ghana. 

In addition, he founded the Tete Mmofra Band, a singing group. He started his career as an actor and musician in 1995 with Key Soap Party at the National Theatre. Agya Koo's Journey in Acting and Music
Growing up in the Ashanti Region, Agya Koo learned how to sing the songs of legendary Ghanaian highlife artists such as Nana Ampedu, Alex Konadu, and Obuoba J.A. Adofo at the age of seven or eight. In addition, he was a skilled drummer who played in a church in Krofrom, Kumasi. Agya preached at Kumasi's Krofrom Market as well. He moved from Kumasi to Accra at the age of twenty in order to hustle. After arriving in Accra, he lived with a group of young men from various Ashanti Region towns who camped out in front of a business in Accra Newtown, next to the Asantewaa Hotel.

Agya Koo continued to enjoy attending concert parties when residing in Taifa, Mamobi, and Kasoa. He proposed the name Tete Mmofra for a group that was founded at the National Theatre. Following Director Samuel Nyamekye's decision to collaborate with him and other film producers, he began acting in Kumawood productions.
