On Thursday, November 16, the infamous cannabis user, 52, revealed the news in an online statement.

The rapper declared, "I'm giving up smoke," in his post, which also featured a statement that said, "I've decided to give up smoking after much consideration with my family."

Before concluding the post, the 52-year-old wrote, "Please respect my privacy at this time."

Fans of the seasoned rapper, who was well-known for his infamous love of smoking marijuana, are shocked by this.

The rapper later denied claims that he had someone roll between 75 and 150 joints for him every day.

The "personal blunt roller" (PBR) Renegade Piranha claimed to be Snoop's last year, stating: "On average, I do about half a pound a day, which seems excessive." That works out to be around 75–150 units each day. I figured it out to be more than 450,000 blunts.

But in March of this year, he acknowledged that after becoming a grandfather, he had cut back on his marijuana use.

Snoop stated in a March interview with DailyMail.com that his personal use was investigated when his oldest child Cordé turned a father to son Zion in 2015.

"I've changed in a lot of ways as a grandfather," he remarked.

"The primary method is caring about my lifestyle, my movements, and the people I surround myself with, as I want to witness my grandchildren grow into old age."

"Taking precautions with my movements, who I hang out with, where I go out, and what I'm eating is the only way I can achieve that."

"Am I following my assigned coursework or am I also participating in extracurricular activities?"
