Manchester United defender Harry Maguire graciously accepted an apology from Ghanaian Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo, who publicly expressed regret for comparing Maguire's performance to Ghana's Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. Initially, Adongo had likened Maguire's underwhelming performance to Dr Bawumia's economic leadership, drawing parallels between the two.

However, acknowledging Maguire's significant turnaround and impactful contributions to Manchester United, Adongo extended an official apology in Parliament. Maguire, having witnessed the viral video of Adongo's apology, responded positively, accepting the MP's gesture.

Expressing his anticipation to see Adongo at Old Trafford soon, Maguire seems to have gracefully embraced the MP's retraction of the comparison. Following England's qualification for the 2024 European Championships, Maguire is set to rejoin United for their upcoming Premier League match against Everton, continuing his commendable form for the team.
