The DWP Academy brought immense joy and relief to Ghanaians through the power of dance in 2020, employing innovative methods to teach dance moves and deliver entertainment, marking significant achievements along the way.

Their journey began with a remarkable feature in Beyoncé's prestigious "Black is King" video, positioning the Academy as a proud representative of African dance on the international stage. This accomplishment garnered widespread attention nationally and internationally, earning the Academy an interview with BBC World News.

Undeterred by physical restrictions, the Academy organized a groundbreaking virtual concert that simultaneously drew thousands of global viewers. Performances by Dancegod Lloyd, Afrobeat, and D Jay were highlights of this memorable event.

Navigating the limitations of physical meetings, the Academy swiftly adapted with online dance classes, attracting participants worldwide—an unexpected success.

Breaking barriers further, the Academy secured a unique distinction by being the sole dance school to present a solo performance at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Renowned as one of Ghana and Africa's premier dance institutions, DWP showcased its multifaceted talents, transcending dance into music. DancegodLloyd, an instructor at the Academy, collaborated with Ghanaian rapper Medikal on the song "Sika," accompanied by a widespread dance challenge engaging hundreds of global dancers.

Enthusiastic about the prospects of 2021, the Academy anticipates scaling new heights, delivering even more significant contributions to both Ghanaians and global audiences.

Founded by Ernest Kwablah (Quables), Laud Konadu (Dancegod Lloyd), and Nicolas Botchway (Afrobeat), the Dance With A Purpose (DWP) Academy is more than a dance school—it's a platform dedicated to reshaping the African narrative through dance, leaving an enduring impact.

The Academy's influence extends beyond their achievements, with popular dances like Sho, Akiti, Dindon, pusese, Baye, Reverse shaku, Adwodwo, and the Adonko dance originating from their creative hub. Moreover, members and coaches have been featured in numerous music dance videos for both local and international artists, including Stonebwoy, King Promise, Shatta Wale, Medikal, Mr. Eazi, Wizkid, Patoranking, Eugy official, among others.
