In advance of the much-awaited Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which is set to take place in Cote d'Ivoire in 2023, national team coach Chris Hughton has revealed the team that will play in this important football competition.

To create a competitive and well-rounded team for the AFCON, Hughton took into account a combination of experience and up-and-coming talent during the selection process.

Arsenal player Thomas Teye Partey is unable to join the team due to his long injury layoff, other absentees are Tariq Lamptey, baba Rahman, Fatawu Issahaku and Kamaldeen Suleman
